School Social Worker Dearborn, MI
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to support students in a school-based setting in Dearborn, Michigan. This is a great opportunity for a social worker who is passionate about helping students overcome academic, behavioral, and social-emotional challenges while working closely with families and school teams.
Position Highlights
- Provide individual and group counseling and social-emotional support
- Support students experiencing behavioral, emotional, academic, and social challenges
- Participate in IEP meetings, student support planning, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Complete assessments, documentation, and case management as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, and related service providers
- Communicate with families and connect students with appropriate community resources
- Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support when needed
- Help develop strategies that promote student success, engagement, and overall well-being
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field
- Valid Michigan School Social Worker credential or eligibility to obtain the appropriate school-based credential
- Michigan social work licensure as required for the applicable credential
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, advocacy, and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of special education and IEP processes preferred
