Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid and current School Social Worker Certification (emergency or temporary licenses are not accepted)
- Experience working in educational settings, ideally supporting students with autism or similar needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Strong organizational abilities and adaptability to a dynamic environment
- Compassion, patience, and a collaborative spirit to contribute positively to the program
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted counseling and support to students participating in the Autism Summer School program
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary collaboration with teachers, support staff, and administration
- Develop and implement strategies to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
- Facilitate communication and partnerships between school, families, and outside resources as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to program progress monitoring
