Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work
- Full Approval or Social Worker Certificate from the Michigan Department of Education (or SSW 310 credential letter from your university with the application process initiated for full certification)
- Valid Michigan State Social Worker license issued by LARA
- Previous experience working with special education students preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with staff, students, and families effectively
Responsibilities:
- Deliver intervention services to special education students in small groups, moderate groups, and one-on-one settings
- Implement evidence-based practices to support social-emotional growth and behavioral development
- Partner with classroom teachers and staff to create and monitor individualized plans
- Participate in team meetings and contribute expert insights to student support strategies
- Maintain thorough documentation and communicate progress clearly to families and stakeholders
