Job Description

A full-time school social worker position is available to support high school students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs. This role primarily serves a high school caseload and is based in Cranston, RI. The position is a contracted role for the current school year (CSY).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
  • Assess student needs and develop intervention plans in collaboration with staff and families
  • Connect students and families with community resources and support services
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and compliance with school policies
  • Support crisis intervention and conflict resolution as necessary

Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensed Social Worker with experience in a school setting
  • Familiarity with high school student populations and their unique challenges
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to school social work

Location: Cranston, Rhode Island
Schedule: Full-time, school year contract
