Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois School Social Work License is required
  • Prior experience as a Social Worker within educational environments preferred
  • Strong ability to build rapport with elementary-aged children, families, and staff
  • Equipped with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Skilled in addressing a wide range of social, behavioral, and academic needs
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in a school setting

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students, supporting social, emotional, and behavioral development
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster a positive and inclusive school climate
  • Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies tailored to individual student needs
  • Act as a resource for crisis intervention and conflict resolution
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to the creation and monitoring of IEP and 504 plans
  • Serve as an advocate for students, ensuring equitable access to school resources and support
