Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role as a full-time onsite school social worker for the upcoming academic year, working 35 hours a week with a diverse population of students. Youll serve cross-categorical caseloads, providing targeted support to struggling students through innovative interventions and active participation in Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes. Your expertise will help students develop the skills they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Professional Educator License (PEL) in school social work
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Ability to create, document, and deliver services for individual, small group, and large group sessions
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral and social-emotional interventions
  • Skilled at facilitating IEP support and adapting resources to diverse needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the development of students social and emotional skills as they relate to learning
  • Provide short and long-term counseling for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges, including students referred by parents
  • Develop and implement service plans and interventions, maintaining evidence of planning
  • Modify instructional resources to address various backgrounds, learning styles, and needs
  • Assist school staff in creating effective Response to Intervention strategies and offer expert recommendations
