Make a lasting impact in the lives of students in a supportive educational setting as a dedicated professional working with TK-12 learners. This contract opportunity is located in a vibrant Southern California community and offers flexibility, meaning youll work between 20 and 24 hours per week across three to five days, depending on your availability and the needs of the students. With a manageable caseload of approximately 12 students per month, this temporary position is ready for an immediate start.
Ideal candidates have a PPS credential in school psychology and a genuine passion for helping children and adolescents thrive both academically and emotionally. Your expertise in working within schools as a social worker or school psychologist will be highly valued as you help create positive outcomes for students from transitional kindergarten through high school.
Qualifications:
- PPS credential in school psychology (required)
- Experience supporting TK-12 students in school settings
- Background in social work or school social work preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school climate
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and counseling to students on your caseload
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop effective support plans
- Conduct assessments and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Serve as a resource for crisis intervention, behavior management, and mental health strategies
- Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state guidelines
