Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent.
- Valid Illinois State Board of Education-issued Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement.
- Experience with EasyIEP or similar IEP software preferred.
- Previous experience working in educational environments or with school-aged children is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite social work services to a caseload of 21 IEP students and 1 weekly 504 student, supporting their social, emotional, and academic needs.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions and provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to develop and implement IEPs.
- Complete documentation, progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings in compliance with district and state requirements.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records using EasyIEP.
- Serve as a resource for students and families, connecting them with community services, and offering guidance related to behavioral and emotional challenges.
