This contract opportunity offers the chance to serve in a dynamic educational setting, with two diverse caseloads available: one focusing on K-12 students and the other dedicated exclusively to high schoolers. As a School Social Worker, youll collaborate with staff, families, and fellow professionals to foster a supportive and inclusive environment that enables every child to thrive.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
• Experience working within educational settings (elementary, middle, high school, or kindergarten)
• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development
• Familiarity with IEP processes and special education procedures
• Commitment to cultural competence and working with diverse populations
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support services to students with academic, social, or emotional needs
• Participate in assessment and development of student intervention plans
• Deliver crisis intervention and counseling, connecting students and families with outside resources as needed
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to build positive relationships and enhance school climate
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with federal/state regulations
• Facilitate group sessions and classroom guidance programs to address relevant issues such as bullying, conflict resolution, and coping strategies
