Job Description

This rewarding contract opportunity is ideal for professionals experienced in supporting elementary, middle, or high school students. Two positions are available: one serving a K-12 caseload, and the other focused exclusively on high school students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid School Social Worker license or credential for Michigan
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in school settings
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and behavioral planning
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective individual and group supports
  • Understanding of diverse student backgrounds and ability to foster an inclusive environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social-emotional and behavioral services to students on assigned caseload
  • Conduct assessments and create intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, families, and outside agencies for coordinated care
  • Facilitate group counseling and classroom lessons promoting student well-being and coping skills
  • Participate in IEP meetings, develop goals, and ensure compliance with educational plans
  • Maintain accurate records and track student progress
  • Serve as a resource for crisis intervention, attendance issues, and student advocacy
