Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a compassionate School Social Worker for a full-time, school-based opportunity in Carlsbad, NM for the 20262027 school year. - Schedule: MondayFriday
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- School Assignment: Elementary
- Caseload: To be determined
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group social work services to elementary students
- Offer consultation and support to students, families, teachers, administrators, and school staff
- Assess social, emotional, behavioral, and family-related factors that may impact student learning
- Develop intervention strategies to improve student well-being and academic success
- Connect students and families with community resources and support services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement student support plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Promote a positive school climate through prevention, intervention, and crisis support services
Qualifications
- Active New Mexico School Social Worker (SSW) License required
- Must meet all state and district requirements for school-based employment
- Previous school-based experience is preferred but not required
