Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure or eligibility as a School Social Worker
• Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (teachers, counselors, administrators)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Compassion, integrity, and a genuine desire to support young people
• Understanding of special education laws and programs is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students emotional, social, and behavioral needs through observation and interviews
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
• Provide direct support and counseling to students coping with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
• Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community resources
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, contributing to IEPs and 504 plans as appropriate
• Offer crisis intervention and support for students and staff as needed
• Support school-wide prevention and wellness initiatives and promote a positive school climate
