Job Description

The assignment runs from 7/7/26 to 8/6/26, with a flexible part-time schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8 am to noon.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, valid School Social Worker Certification (emergency or temporary licensure will not be accepted)
  • Previous experience working within a school setting, preferably with students on the autism spectrum
  • Strong skills in counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, therapists, and family members
  • Expertise in developing, implementing, and monitoring social-emotional interventions and supports
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social, emotional, and behavioral support to students enrolled in the Autism Summer School program
  • Develop and deliver individualized and group interventions to foster student growth and well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to promote effective learning and positive social interaction
  • Contribute to IEP and program planning meetings as needed
  • Maintain detailed records in accordance with school and program requirements
  • Serve as a resource for staff in understanding the social and emotional needs of students with autism
