Make a positive impact in the lives of students as a school-based Social Worker. This contract role offers the opportunity to support children across two locations, working with a manageable caseload of 12 students. Based onsite and conveniently located near Canonsburg, PA, this position is ideal for professionals who are passionate about advocating for student success and well-being.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania School Social Worker (PS SSW) license
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social-emotional support to students, both individually and in groups
- Develop and implement intervention strategies addressing students unique needs
- Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community resources
- Maintain accurate and confidential records for student interactions
- Consult with teachers and school staff to promote positive behavioral and academic outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP/504 planning as needed
