A school social worker position is available for the 2026/2027 school year in Stillman Valley, Illinois. This contract role serves middle and high school students (grades 6-12) with a current caseload of 35-40 students. The weekly schedule typically runs from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some flexibility offered to accommodate individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and support services to students addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and community resources to develop intervention plans that promote student well-being.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized support plans.
- Facilitate group sessions and crisis intervention as needed.
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes in compliance with district guidelines.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state license or certification as a School Social Worker.
- Experience working with middle and high school-aged students.
- Strong knowledge of social work principles, counseling techniques, and intervention strategies.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 35-40 students effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
