Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Social Worker license appropriate for school settings
- Previous experience in an educational environment working with children and adolescents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff
- Familiarity with individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and student support services
- Ability to adapt intervention strategies to the diverse needs of students across age groups
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling and support to students dealing with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop interventions and promote student well-being
- Assess student needs and connect families with community resources as appropriate
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to assist in creating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans
- Facilitate social-emotional learning activities and support positive school climate initiatives
