Key Qualifications:

  • Active School Social Worker certification (or eligibility)
  • Experience conducting comprehensive initial evaluations within a school setting
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking proficiency required
  • Familiarity with child study team processes and best practices
  • Strong written and oral communication abilities
  • Ability to collaborate with other education professionals and families
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and complete a thorough social work evaluation as part of the initial referral process for a preschool student
  • Collaborate with the child study team to gather and interpret data
  • Perform culturally responsive, bilingual assessments in accordance with state and district guidelines
  • Develop and submit the evaluation report by the 07/01/2026 deadline
  • Maintain effective communication with school staff and families throughout the evaluation
  • Observe professional ethics, confidentiality, and best practices

This contract assignment offers a consistent daytime schedule, with student hours from 8:30 AM 2:30 PM and staff hours from 8:00 AM 2:55 PM.
