Key Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
  • Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students
  • Strong understanding of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges facing youth
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Capable of maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address academic, social, and emotional concerns
  • Assess student needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to create supportive educational environments
  • Serve as a vital link connecting students and families to essential community resources
  • Participate in the development and implementation of student support plans, including IEPs and 504 plans
  • Conduct crisis interventions and assist in managing urgent student matters as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records and documentation
  • Support school-wide initiatives promoting positive behavior and mental wellness
