Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Social Worker, providing essential support and services to students through June 2027. In this fully onsite role, you will be instrumental in promoting student well-being, collaborating closely with the Child Study Team (CST), and assisting educators and families within the school community. This position is based near Brick, NJ, offering consistent, fulfilling workweeks of 32.5 hours.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and valid New Jersey School Social Worker (NJ SSW) license
  • Experience in school-based social work or related settings preferred
  • Strong skills in communication, organization, and teamwork
  • Ability to work effectively within the multidisciplinary Child Study Team
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting diverse student populations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students, fostering emotional, behavioral, and academic growth
  • Collaborate with the CST to assess student needs, develop interventions, and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to deliver comprehensive support plans
  • Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP conferences, and case management activities
  • Advocate for students social and emotional needs and ensure access to appropriate resources
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with legal and professional standards
