Job Description

Make a difference in elementary education by providing essential support as a school social worker in a supportive, onsite role. Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois School Social Work License required
  • Previous experience in an elementary school setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective support plans for students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct social work services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral issues
  • Develop intervention strategies tailored to individual student needs
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student development
  • Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions
  • Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with state and school policies
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support as needed
