Job Description

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
  • State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a School Social Worker
  • Previous school-based or youth-centered social work experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and staff
  • Familiarity with educational laws, IEP processes, and available community resources

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students identified with academic, social, or emotional concerns
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to design and implement effective intervention strategies
  • Support crisis response and intervention within the school environment
  • Facilitate connections between families and community support services
  • Document services and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies and state regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings, student support teams, and multidisciplinary educational planning
