Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- Active Social Worker license in Montana
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school or educational setting
- Knowledge of local community resources and child welfare systems
- Strong communication, crisis intervention, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students emotional and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement strategies for student success
- Assist in crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies or challenging situations
- Develop and maintain confidential case records and documentation
- Connect students and families with community resources and external support services
- Advocate for students well-being and help foster a positive school climate
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), as needed
