Two immediate opportunities are available: one with a K-12 caseload spanning elementary, middle, and high school, and the other focused solely on high school students. Both roles are designed for passionate, student-centered social workers eager to foster growth and resilience within educational settings.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
- Experience working in educational environments, especially with elementary, middle, or high school populations
- Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent development
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and community resources
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Compassionate approach to student support and advocacy
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct social-emotional interventions and counseling for assigned students
- Develop strategies to enhance students' well-being and academic engagement
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design supportive interventions
- Provide crisis response as needed and facilitate preventative programs
- Maintain thorough, confidential student records and reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP or 504 Plan processes
- Advocate for students' access to community resources and mental health services
