Job Description

This part-time, contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Social Worker with experience in K-12 educational settings, looking to provide both direct and indirect services onsite.

Youll work closely with a small caseload of four students, delivering thoughtful interventions and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to foster student growth. The schedule offers up to 10 hours per week, giving you the flexibility to balance your professional and personal commitments while having a strong impact in an educational community.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid Social Worker and SLP licensure in Maine (ME SLP license required)
  • Prior experience working as a school-based Social Worker, Social Worker Schools, or in a similar clinical setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with students, families, and staff
  • Experience with direct and indirect service delivery
  • Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Ability to provide empathetic, student-centered care that supports academic and social success

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop tailored support plans for students
  • Deliver individual and small-group counseling sessions
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care
  • Document services and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
