Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting the academic and personal growth of students as a school-based Social Worker in a vibrant learning environment near Berwyn, IL. This onsite contract role spans from August 17th to May 21st, with a weekly commitment of 33.75 hours, providing essential interventions and guidance to students in grades 35. You'll work with both students with disabilities and those in the general population, managing a caseload of approximately 250300, helping to foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Illinois Social Worker license required
  • Prior experience in a school setting preferred
  • Familiarity with providing services to students with a range of disabilities and general education populations
  • Committed to upholding district and state-specific standards for school-based social work
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct services and interventions to support students social, emotional, and behavioral growth
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Maintain thorough documentation to comply with district, state, and federal requirements
  • Serve as a resource for students, offering crisis intervention and connecting families to community resources as needed
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success and well-being
