Job Description

A school social worker position is available for the 26/27 school year, serving an elementary school setting. This role involves supporting a caseload of 30 to 40 students with a focus on enhancing their social, emotional, and behavioral development. The position requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week on a contract basis within the school year calendar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling and intervention services to elementary students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized support plans.
  • Connect families with community resources and social services.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student interactions and progress.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Social Worker.
  • Experience working in an elementary school setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of child development and behavioral management techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and maintain confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with community resources and social services.
