An opportunity is available for a School Social Worker to support middle and high school students during the 2026/2027 school year. This contract position is based in Stillman Valley, Illinois, serving students from grades 6 through 12. The weekly schedule offers some flexibility, typically from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and support services to a caseload of approximately 35-40 students
- Address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges impacting students' educational success
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and community agencies to develop intervention plans
- Conduct assessments and facilitate access to resources and services
- Promote a positive and safe school environment focused on student well-being
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified School Social Worker with relevant experience in educational settings
- Strong skills in crisis intervention, counseling, and case management
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to supporting students social and emotional development
