Support students' well-being and academic success by providing essential social work services in a dynamic school district near Bellevue, MI. This contract opportunity centers on covering a maternity leave from January through April, with the possibility to extend through June. Youll have the chance to work up to 40 hours per week within a supportive educational environment. While onsite presence is preferred, qualified professionals open to virtual (VOCO) engagement are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work interventions to students, supporting their emotional and social development
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to devise strategies that promote student success
• Conduct assessments, consultations, and crisis interventions as needed
• Assist in the creation of individualized education and behavioral plans
• Maintain detailed records in compliance with school policies and local regulations
• Advocate for students access to resources within the school and broader community

Desired Qualifications:

• Hold a full school social worker certification (must be verified: https://mdoe.state.mi.us/moecs/publiccredentialsearch.aspx)
• Demonstrated experience as a school social worker or in a similar capacity
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and staff
• Comfort with both in-person and VOCO modalities, as needed
• Organized, proactive, and adaptable to diverse school settings
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practices with student information
