Make a positive impact by providing essential support to high school students with IEPs in an engaging, onsite contract role. Work closely with students across two high schools, helping them navigate social and emotional challenges while collaborating with educators and families to foster a supportive learning environment. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week, providing stability while allowing you to engage meaningfully with your caseload.

What we're looking for:

• Valid New Mexico School Social Worker (SSW) license
• Understanding of high school student needs, particularly those with IEPs
• Ability to meet all New Mexico school district requirements for school-based social workers
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, parents, and staff
• Experience working in a school setting with diverse student populations is preferred

What you'll do:

• Deliver direct social work services to high school students with IEPs, supporting their social, emotional, and academic growth
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized strategies and interventions
• Document student progress and participate in multidisciplinary IEP meetings
• Act as an advocate for students, ensuring their needs are identified and addressed
• Help develop and implement school-wide programs to promote student well-being
