Enhance the educational experience for students by providing social work services in a supportive and collaborative environment. This contract opportunity offers an engaging role, supporting approximately 40 students across two elementary schools and a preschool classroom, delivering vital social, emotional, and academic assistance. Work closely with educators, families, and students to help every child achieve their highest potential during the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Qualifications:

• Department of Education approval as a School Social Worker in Michigan (required)
• Previous experience delivering school-based social work services preferred
• Strong understanding of childhood development, trauma-informed care, and intervention strategies
• Exceptional communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and relate effectively to children, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services onsite to students, addressing barriers to learning and promoting positive outcomes
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized student intervention plans
• Facilitate small groups and individual sessions focused on social skills, conflict resolution, and coping techniques
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify student needs and offer appropriate supports
• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources to ensure an integrated support system
• Maintain records and documentation in compliance with state and school requirements
