Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
- Previous experience working with school-aged children or adolescents in an educational or clinical setting
- Familiarity with developing and implementing individualized plans for student support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students
- Assess student needs and develop appropriate support plans
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to address academic, behavioral, or social issues
- Facilitate small group or individual support sessions to build coping, problem-solving, and social skills
- Conduct ongoing assessments and document progress for each student served
- Connect families with community resources and support services as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) as required
