Job Description

Help support elementary students by providing essential social work services in a full-time contract role near Aurora, IL. Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
  • Strong understanding of student emotional and behavioral development
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges
  • Partner with teachers and families to identify student needs and help develop intervention plans
  • Assess student progress and maintain thorough documentation in accordance with school policies
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams as required
  • Support crisis intervention efforts in the school setting
  • Refer students and families to appropriate community resources as needed
