Job Description

This full-time role starts as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. You will be dedicated to a single school and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) who have Affective Needs or Significant Support Needs. There is flexibility in placement, as candidates with credentials in either school social work or school psychology will be considered, although SPED (Special Education) experience is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Active Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider License with Social Worker Endorsement
  • School-based experience, especially with special education (SPED), is highly valued
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and providing mental health services to students
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
  • Must complete district onboarding and contract packet prior to assignment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted mental health interventions and supports to high school students
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to enhance student well-being
  • Participate in IEP meetings and help develop goals and service plans
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with school and legal standards
  • Provide crisis intervention when necessary
