A rewarding opportunity for a School Social Worker is available in Arvada, CO, supporting high school students on a full-time contract basis. This onsite role requires a dedicated professional to provide critical social work services to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs, facilitating their academic and personal success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social work services to high school students, including counseling, crisis intervention, and support for behavioral and emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and community resources to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and facilitate access to appropriate interventions and services.
- Participate in team meetings to support student well-being and academic progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a current DORA School Social Worker (SSW) license.
- Colorado Department of Education-issued Special Service Provider license with an endorsement for school social work is required.
- Experience working with high school student populations in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to manage a high caseload while prioritizing student needs efficiently.
