Job Description

A school-based social worker position is available in Arvada, CO, supporting K-5 students within a single school setting. This full-time or part-time contract role requires delivering essential social work services as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to fostering student well-being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, re-evaluations, and evaluations for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
  • Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings in-person to interpret assessment outcomes for parents and collaborate with the IEP team to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide ongoing support and intervention planning tailored to student needs, working closely with educators, families, and community resources.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado Social Worker license.
  • School Social Work Specialist (SSP) certification.
  • Experience working with school-aged children and familiarity with the special education process.

Schedule and Location:

  • Onsite work conducted Monday through Friday.
  • Options available for full-time (37.5 hours per week) or part-time (15 hours per week).
