Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a full-time, onsite School Social Worker for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity offers a consistent 35-hour workweek supporting students across a range of backgrounds and needs. Youll work within a collaborative school environment, playing a vital role in providing interventions and supporting social/emotional growth to help students thrive academically and personally.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work endorsement
  • Previous experience as a school-based or educational social worker strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and interventions for students with diverse needs
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver services for special education students individually, in small groups, or large groups, addressing behavioral and social-emotional needs
  • Counsel general education students who are referred due to social/emotional or behavioral challenges, providing both short and long-term support
  • Collaborate with educators and families to identify, select, and adapt resources tailored to students unique learning profiles
  • Facilitate development and implementation of effective Response to Intervention strategies, offering actionable guidance for staff to better support struggling students
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and be prepared to share evidence of service plans as required
