What Were Looking For:
- Current licensure as a School Social Worker (or eligibility in Michigan)
- Experience supporting K-12 students, ideally across a range of grade levels
- Strong knowledge of intervention strategies, crisis response, and individualized education planning (IEPs)
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, faculty, and outside agencies
- Ability to manage caseloads, prioritize tasks, and adapt to dynamic school environments
- Compassionate, student-centered approach to advocacy and support
- Previous travel, contract, or school-based experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote positive educational outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEPs and 504 plans
- Respond to student crises with effective interventions and resource coordination
- Provide referrals and connect families with community resources as needed
- Maintain detailed records and uphold all ethical, legal, and school policies
- Deliver prevention and educational programs on topics relevant to student well-being
