What Were Looking For:

• Current licensure as a School Social Worker (or eligibility in Michigan)
• Experience supporting K-12 students, ideally across a range of grade levels
• Strong knowledge of intervention strategies, crisis response, and individualized education planning (IEPs)
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, faculty, and outside agencies
• Ability to manage caseloads, prioritize tasks, and adapt to dynamic school environments
• Compassionate, student-centered approach to advocacy and support
• Previous travel, contract, or school-based experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote positive educational outcomes
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEPs and 504 plans
• Respond to student crises with effective interventions and resource coordination
• Provide referrals and connect families with community resources as needed
• Maintain detailed records and uphold all ethical, legal, and school policies
• Deliver prevention and educational programs on topics relevant to student well-being
