Job Description

Make a positive impact in the lives of students as a School Social Worker, working with 5th and 6th graders in a welcoming educational environment. This full-time, on-site contract opportunity provides a chance to deliver in-person support to students, faculty, and families, playing a vital role in their growth and emotional well-being.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work required
  • Fully licensed as a School Social Worker
  • Demonstrated experience working with elementary or middle school students preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of IEP implementation, documentation, and provision of support services
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, students, families, and external agencies
  • Must be available for on-site work throughout the contract period

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 5th and 6th grade students, offering individualized and group support
  • Play a key role in creating and implementing IEPs, ensuring students receive appropriate services
  • Monitor student progress, maintain thorough records, and document interventions
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and maintain strategies that support student social, emotional, and academic success
  • Participate in meetings, team discussions, and professional development as required
  • Act as a trusted resource for crisis intervention and ongoing social-emotional support
