As a contracted school social worker, you will play a vital role in fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments that empower every student to succeed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid and current state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
- Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably within educational settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, families, teachers, and administrators
- Proven ability to manage caseloads, conduct assessments, and deliver evidence-based interventions
- Flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of elementary, middle, and high school students
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Facilitate crisis intervention and support students experiencing critical issues
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to develop and implement intervention plans
- Evaluate students' needs and progress through ongoing assessment and data collection
- Offer resources and referrals to students and families for additional community support services
- Advocate for students well-being, supporting positive school climates and social-emotional growth
