Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as a School Social Worker or eligibility for licensure
- Previous experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings preferred
- Strong understanding of crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and behavioral management
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and parents
- Compassionate, resourceful, and dedicated to advocating for student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and collaborate on intervention plans
- Coordinate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop strategies for academic and social success
- Serve as a liaison among families, school staff, and community agencies to enhance resources and support
- Lead and participate in crisis response and prevention initiatives within the school setting
- Maintain detailed and confidential records while following all district, state, and federal guidelines
- Support school-wide efforts to promote inclusion, equity, and culturally responsive practices
