Job Description

A dedicated professional is sought to provide social work and therapeutic services in a school setting within Anaheim, CA. This contract position supports a single school with a caseload of approximately 20-25 students, delivering both direct and indirect services focused on social-emotional learning (SEL), crisis intervention, and wellness center management. Experience working with children and youth in school-based environments is essential to effectively engage students and staff in fostering a supportive educational atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct counseling and therapy to students, including individual and group sessions
  • Conduct SEL presentations within the classroom setting
  • Manage and coordinate the schools wellness center programs and resources
  • Provide crisis support and intervention services as needed
  • Complete necessary documentation and participate in paid team meetings and administrative tasks

Qualifications:

  • Active CA credential as ACSW or LCSW, AMFT or LMFT, or PPSC SSW
  • Minimum one year of experience working with children and youth, preferably in schools
  • Skilled in managing caseloads of 20-25 clients with effective time management
  • Ability to deliver comprehensive social work and therapeutic services with a focus on school populations
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with school staff and participation in wellness initiatives

Additional Position Details:

  • Contract duration runs through the 2025-2026 school year, starting ASAP and ending June 5, 2026
  • 35 hours per week, typically 7 hours per day
  • Dedicated therapy space and administrative time available
  • All interviews are conducted onsite in person
  • Long-term client relationships often lead to contract renewals
