Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
- Valid state license or eligible for licensure as a School Social Worker
- Experience working with children and adolescents in school settings (elementary, middle, and/or high school)
- Strong understanding of social-emotional development, conflict resolution, and trauma-informed care
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and outside agencies
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address academic, behavioral, and social concerns
- Develop and implement support plans in collaboration with teachers and administrators
- Serve as a key resource for students experiencing family, emotional, or social challenges
- Link students and families with community resources and support networks as needed
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate through proactive initiatives
- Participate in student support team meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Document interventions and progress in accordance with school and district protocols
