Job Description

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
  • Valid state license or eligible for licensure as a School Social Worker
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in school settings (elementary, middle, and/or high school)
  • Strong understanding of social-emotional development, conflict resolution, and trauma-informed care
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and outside agencies

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address academic, behavioral, and social concerns
  • Develop and implement support plans in collaboration with teachers and administrators
  • Serve as a key resource for students experiencing family, emotional, or social challenges
  • Link students and families with community resources and support networks as needed
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate through proactive initiatives
  • Participate in student support team meetings and contribute to educational planning
  • Document interventions and progress in accordance with school and district protocols
