Job Description

Make an immediate impact in educational settings by providing support to students as a School Social Worker for a district-wide caseload. This full-time contract position, based onsite and lasting from as soon as possible through March, offers the chance to foster student success and well-being across various campuses near Algonquin, IL.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois SSW License is required
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) issued by the state of Illinois
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling to students across the district
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop individualized intervention plans
  • Assist in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and the creation of safe learning environments
  • Support special education processes including conducting evaluations and attending IEP meetings
  • Offer resources and referrals for students and families in need
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with district guidelines
