Job Description
Support the well-being of young learners as a part-time School Social Worker working in an elementary school setting on a contract basis. This opportunity requires a dedicated professional available two days per week (approximately 14-15 hours), with a focus on fostering a positive school environment and addressing students social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Ideal candidates will bring experience and compassion to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families, ensuring students have equitable access to support and resources.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a School Social Worker (SSW)
- Experience serving in a school setting, preferably at the elementary level
- Strong skills in counseling, crisis intervention, and case management
- Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Effective communicator and collaborator
- Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and interventions for students social, emotional, and behavioral development
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop intervention plans
- Work alongside teachers and school personnel to promote a safe, inclusive climate
- Collaborate with families to connect them with community resources and additional services
- Maintain detailed and confidential records in accordance with district policies
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of student support strategies
