Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as a School Social Worker
- Prior experience in a K-12 education setting preferred
- Strong understanding of student support services, IEP processes, and crisis intervention strategies
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Outstanding documentation and time management skills
- Multi-lingual abilities are a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct services including individual and group counseling for students
- Conduct assessments to identify students social and emotional needs
- Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to each student
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to IEP and 504 plans
- Serve as a resource for families, connecting them to community-based services when needed
- Support school staff with strategies and professional guidance on student issues
- Respond promptly and appropriately to crises affecting students or the school community
