Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within the Prince William County district. Assignments are available in the Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge areas beginning August 24th, 2026, and continuing through June 12th, 2027. The role offers full-time hours35 hours per week, with a consistent schedule of 7 hours per day.

As an SLPA in this dynamic educational setting, you will collaborate closely with supervising speech-language pathologists to deliver critical speech and language interventions tailored to student needs. Your expertise will make a meaningful impact, helping students improve their communication skills and achieve their academic potentials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Speech Language, or Communication Disorders is required
  • Current licensure specifically as an SLPA is not required in Virginia
  • Experience supporting children or young adults in school or clinical settings preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt and thrive within a school environment

Responsibilities:

  • Assist supervising speech-language pathologists with implementing therapy plans
  • Support students individually or in small groups to foster communication growth
  • Collect and record data to monitor student progress
  • Prepare materials and resources for intervention sessions
