Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Holds a valid SLPA license or certification
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and experience documenting student progress
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow therapy plans developed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Organizational skills for maintaining records and managing multiple student caseloads

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing individualized speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of an SLP
  • Support students with speech, language, and communication challenges in both individual and group sessions
  • Prepare materials and adapt educational activities to facilitate communication goals
  • Document student progress and update records in accordance with school policies
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and school events as needed
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and related service professionals
