A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential support services within a school setting in West Sacramento, CA. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists and assist in delivering high-quality speech and language therapy to students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Provide direct therapy services to students to improve communication skills.
- Prepare and organize materials and activities for therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student development.
- Assist in screening, data collection, and reporting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) credential.
- Experience working in educational or pediatric settings is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and team members.
- Ability to follow therapy plans and work under supervision.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
