This engaging opportunity calls for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work with K-12 students in a school-based setting throughout July. What youll bring:
- Valid Connecticut SLPA license, or qualifying educational background/experience
- Experience or training supporting speech-language services in a school environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with supervising SLPs, teachers, and staff
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners in a positive, inclusive environment
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in providing direct and indirect speech-language services to students across grades K-12
- Carry out activities and exercises as planned by supervising SLP
- Document student progress and report observations to the SLP or IEP team
- Support students individually or in small groups, adapting to a range of learning and communication needs
- Help maintain organized therapy materials and documentation
- Uphold confidentiality and professional standards at all times
