Job Description

This contract opportunity allows you to collaborate closely with certified Speech-Language Pathologists, working directly with students to help them develop vital speech and language skills.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field (Bachelors preferred)
  • Current SLPA licensure or certification according to state requirements
  • Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations highly desirable
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, clinicians, and families to support student goals
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills in dynamic classroom environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy to students as prescribed by supervising SLPs, in both individual and small group settings
  • Assist in developing, modifying, and implementing communication programs and strategies tailored to student needs
  • Collect and document data on student progress, maintaining detailed records for use by SLP and educational teams
  • Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities to engage diverse learners
  • Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and staff development opportunities
  • Support inclusive learning environments by adapting therapeutic interventions for classroom integration
